With movie theaters reopening, click HERE to see a video of what you can expect from the new CinemaSafe health and safety protocols when you return to the movie theater.
Welcome Back to the Movies – What to Expect
Masks Required for All
We care about the health of our community and employees. Masks are required for guests and staff throughout the theatre. Your mask must cover your nose and mouth and fit snugly around your face and chin. If needed, masks are available to purchase for just $1.
Food & Drinks in the Auditorium
In the auditorium, masks are required before, during and after your movie, but may be removed while actively enjoying food and drinks. Employees monitor auditoriums throughout each performance as standard practice. Where socially unacceptable behavior is observed, including non-compliance of the mask regulation, expect a visit from an employee to discuss. Remember, not only is wearing a mask best practice, but it is mandated by the state.
Social Distancing Protocols
Please remember to maintain distance before, during and after the movie. Follow the directional signs and the reminders posted throughout the theatre for guidance.
Reduced Auditorium Capacities
All auditoriums are at 50% capacity or less, based on municipality guidelines. In reserved seating auditoriums our ticketing system has blocked selections to account for proper social distancing spacing. For larger families you may have two seats in-between your group. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your cooperation. In auditoriums with traditional, non-reserved seating, chairs will be physically limited to assist with proper spacing. Regardless, please make sure to leave adequate distance between yourself and other guests.
Once you’re in the auditorium, in your reserved seats, if your family is separated AND NO ONE IS SEATED DIRECTLY BEHIND OR IN FRONT OF YOU, feel free to move over into the chairs separating your group. This applies to same household groups only.
Where tickets are sold, credit, debit or gift cards are preferred to reduce contact, but cash is accepted.
Cash is not accepted at concessions or Hollywood & Wine Bistro & Bar in order to avoid shared contact between cash and food handling. If you do not have a credit/debit card, you can purchase an SRC gift card at the box office or designated gift card sales station using cash. That gift card can then be used for transactions at the concession stand.
Simplified Menu SelectionsFor shorter lines and quicker service, we have temporarily simplified our selections. Classic treats such as popcorn, beverages, hot dogs, candy, nachos, kid combos and more are available now. We’ll expand the menu as soon as possible.
Refills Temporarily Unavailable To minimize contact, popcorn and drink refills are unavailable at this time.
Condiments Available by Request
When you check out at concessions, don’t forget to ask your cashier for everything you need! To reduce touch points napkins and condiments like ketchup, mustard, relish, and salt are now available by request.
Hand Sanitizer & Disinfecting Wipes Available
Take advantage of the sanitizer and wipe stations throughout the theatre, especially at the kiosks and concessions.
Frequent Hand Washing
Wash your hands often and avoid touching your face. Managers and staff members are required to routinely wash their hands for at least 20 seconds.
Our cleaning regiment has been increased to include more frequent cleansing and sanitization of common areas and high touch points. In the auditoriums, extra time has been added between movies so our crew can take extra care disinfecting hard surfaces, including doors, handrails, recliner buttons, and tray tables.
Electrostatic Disinfectant Sprayers
Auditoriums are disinfected before each show with new electrostatic disinfectant sprayers. This cutting-edge equipment maximizes surface coverage by using negatively charged ions so that the disinfectant particles wrap around and cling to positively charged surfaces.
Employee Health Screenings
Managers and staff members have their temperatures read before starting their shifts. Anyone who has a fever or symptoms is required to self-quarantine until symptom free for at least 72 hours.
Self-Check Your Health
If you have symptoms such as fever or cough, or have come in contact with someone with symptoms, please take care and stay home. We will be ready to serve you once you are better. If you have purchased tickets and are experiencing symptoms related to Covid-19, you may request a refund by emailing email@example.com
MERV 13 Air Filters
For superior air quality, we’ve verified use of, or upgraded our HVAC systems with MERV 13 filters wherever possible. Fresh air is circulated through the auditoriums as long as proper comfort levels can be maintained.
Santa Rosa Cinemas is closely monitoring federal, state and local guidelines and our protocols will continue to evolve accordingly.
